LUANG PRABANG, The city was formerly the capital of a kingdom of the same name. Until the communist takeover in 1975, it was the royal capital and seat of government of the Kingdom of Laos. The city is also notable as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.This trip will get you all the way from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang with only for people who need to spend one night at the boarder town of Chiang Kong. Departure from Chiang Mai by air-con mini bus which will take you to the guest house in Chiang Kong. The next morning after crossing the boarder into Laos you will board the fast boat to Luang Prabang.
