Vang Vieng  is a tiny riverside town in Laos, that everything is easily reachable by foot. Situated midway along the Vientiane to Luang Prabang road, Vang Vieng has become  the backpacker's pit stop in Laos. Surrounded by splendid karst scenery and overflowing with activities the main attractions are the river, laid back countryside and cave-filled rock formations, looking over the quiet waters of the Nam Song to the limestone outcrops layering into the distance in hazy greys and blues, is one of the most beautiful views imaginable, many prolong their stay here far longer than originally planned.
